Step 2 - Proper planning
- Photographs: What is required? What would be helpful? Assign someone to take the photos you will need or take them yourself.
- Handouts, flyers, brochures and booklets, etc.: Make sure clean samples are put aside for use in the book of evidence.
- Publicity: Invite the press to your event; give writers a handout with accurate information to create the article correctly. Clip and save the articles so you will have them when needed for the book of evidence.
- Collect all items as you go along so that, when it is time to prepare the book of evidence, you will have everything you need.
- Follow general rules in the Awawrds Manual and the guidelines on the evaluation forms.
- Mail your entry to the appropriate judging chairman by the deadline.
Step 4 - Remember the two deadlines - December 1, 2011 and January 10, 2012 - If entries are received late, points will be deducted. And send to the correct judging chairman.
