Established in 1928, the Roseville Better Gardens Club is an award winning, nonprofit educational organization affiliated with California Garden Clubs, Inc. The club’s objectives are to create, promote, and further interest in amateur gardening, plant life, conservation, and wildlife. Join one of the oldest garden clubs in California, learn about gardening, meet new gardening friends, and have fun! As of September 2025, we have 100+ members and growing.

The Roseville Better Gardens Club membership offers:

  • Monthly meetings with knowledgeable program speakers
  • Informative horticultural presentations
  • Community service activities and funds awarded to non-profit groups for horticulture, conservation and wildlife projects
  • Special field trips, tours, workshops, and other activities
  • Sharing of gardening information and techniques
  • Monthly newsletters
  • Annual scholarships to college students pursuing a horticulture-related degree  (click on Scholarship link above for more information)

GENERAL MEETINGS:  3rd Wednesday, unless noted, of each month from September to June; no meetings held during July and August. Refer to TAB

  • Time:     Doors open at 12:30 PM; meetings 1:00 – 3:00 PM
  • GUESTS ARE WELCOME AT OUR MEETINGS!!  Guests are encouraged to arrive at 12:30.
  • We socialize and celebrate in December (Holiday Luncheon) and June (End of the Year Luncheon) – no regular meetings in those two months.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION:

  • Annual membership dues are $40 per person or $60 for two people in the same household.
  • Guests are invited to attend two meetings before committing to membership.

Thank you for your interest in the Roseville Better Gardens Club Scholarship Program. This scholarship is funded by proceeds from our club’s annual plant sale, fund-raising efforts, and scholarship-designated donations. We are very proud of our scholarship program which began in 2017. One-year $1000 scholarships are available for college students pursuing a horticulture-related degree. The scholarship application packet consists of the Scholarship Program Instructions and Guidelines and the Scholarship Application Form.

(off of Rocky Ridge between Cirby & Douglas Boulevard)

The public is invited to shop and support the Club.

Member grown plants including veggies, herbs, annuals & perennials, California natives,

ground covers, shrubs, ornamental grasses, houseplants, and succulents & cacti.  

Also fresh flower arrangements, lots of garden items, garden art, baked goods, and children’s project table.

All at great prices!
